MPP-Lifecycle

Manage the lifecycle of planning data by removing project orders, scheduling solutions, and related temporary records when they are no longer needed.

Purpose

This module helps maintain a clean and controlled workspace by removing outdated, experimental, or no-longer-needed scheduling data. It supports reproducible experimentation by allowing you to reset or refine planning states intentionally.

When to use

Use this module after solutions have been reviewed (and exported if needed), or when preparing to define new scenarios without interference from previous data.

Good practices

  • Confirm that orders and solutions are no longer needed before deletion.
  • Use descriptive names for orders/scenarios to avoid accidental removal.
  • Clean the workspace periodically when running multiple experiments.

Common mistakes

  • Deleting data that hasn’t been analyzed or exported.
  • Assuming deleted data can be recovered.
  • Cleaning the workspace while another scheduling task is running.

Important notes

Deletion actions performed in this module are irreversible. Once project orders or solutions are removed, they cannot be restored.

Recommended next step

Start a new scenario by defining activities again.
